A collaboration with The Hermes Experiment and the composer Ed Scolding. Black Sea animation was created as part of live performance projection as part of SONIC VISIONS programme. Animated and directed by Izabela Barszcz. Inspired by the poem by Mark Strand - Black Sea. An emotionally charged journey through semi abstract landscapes on turbulent sea, sharp rocks and cosmic constalations. A story of longing, reconnection and illusions. Premiered by The Hermes Experiment at The Forge Camden, February 2016.

It’s a collaboration between animation artist Izabela Barszcz and composer Maria Vatenina. The story follows Ania, played by Héloïse Werner, who is a clone of famous deceased singer Anna. What is true luxury? Couture takes time and patience - qualities that are rapidly being forgotten. ‘If I Were You’ promises a return to these timeless values, in the spirit of genuine couture. Taking inspiration from Diana Vreeland and her column ‘Why don’t you…?’ in 1930s Harper’s Bazaar, ‘Why Don’t You’ is the first collection by Eiko Yoshizumi, a Japanese hat designer and visual artist. The show features collaborations with musicians and an animation artist, inspired by Yoshizumi’s artistic points of view and creations. Yoshizumi has been training in couture hat design since 2014 at Prudence Millinery, a hat designer well known for her work with Vivienne Westwood. Yoshizumi has studied rare and traditional techniques of couture hat making. This show was held on 13th March 2016 at IKLECTIK Art Lab.
